WTF Should I Do With My Life?

Let a website decide for me, of course.

I "hell no'd" getting married in favor of this. Right decision, methinks.

So Gay..

Finally, a banner ad done right. This unconvential ad is great because it's non-intrusive, yet eye-catching. It searches Twitter in real-time, and has options for different "words" that highlight how hatred is spread in cyber-space.

Adidas: Winning Is Easy

The story of a boy who overcomes physical abuse from an alcoholic father, growing up to be as aspiring Olympian in track and field. His interest in running is sparked by a chance discovery of an abandoned pair of adidas running shoes.

This emotionally charged piece exemplifies what I now consider to be Adidas' style. It's stunning, memorable, and inspiring for the everyday athlete.. much like another giant shoe retailer.

Spanair: Unexpected Luggage [video]

Nothing like a little humanity from a brand to bring a smile to your face. Too bad more brands don't just put people first - all people - just for the sake of it. No hidden agendas.

Oh, hey..

Feltrinelli Books: Reading Means Resisting

Feltrinelli is an Italian publisher; they’ve set their slogan to “Reading means resisting”. With this beautiful illustration they visualise the slogan perfectly, when you are reading one of the Feltrinelli books you can resist all the ‘noise’ from the outside, you will only read and nothing else. The packs of money and the Dollar signs are a nice variation in the whole. (via @CreativeCrmnls)

Intel: Visual Life - The Sartorialist [video]

I often wish I had the talent to be a videographer, or the courage to be a photographer. This video is beautiful, achingly so, for reasons I can't quite pinpoint.

The Twitterverse [Infographic]

A map of the Twittersphere showing the seemingly endless apps, widgets and other Twitter services out there. In a word: Mind-boggling.

Alright 2011, welcome.

Glad you're here. You finally made it. I almost didn't.

Now listen up, 2011, I've got a bone to pick with you. Pay attention because this is important. I hope you're going to be different from the last year, 2010, or we're going to have trouble. He was just no good. In fact, he almost killed me, literally. I can't have that happen again, 2011, ya hear me?

2010 wasn't just adversorial, it was defeating. Everytime I stood up, it beat me down again. I faced more in one year than in the five years before that, and I'd like to not have to do it again. It's great to have strength of character and all that, but I'd like to coast this year, if that's ok with you. Don't go slappin' me around and abusing your power again, I won't have none of that.

You're going to leave me alone this year, 2011. No testing my boundaries or challenging my survivor spirit. We both know it's there. Listen here, 2011, I have a lot of good people in my life now, good people who bring good things and all I want is to be good to them but I can't if  you tripping me up at every step. So this year you're in my corner. Well, it's not a fight, but if it was, you'd be in my corner. And also, while we're on the cliche's, it's a marathon, not a race, so let's take it easy out of the gate, ok? No surprises or upsets.

Here's what I want from you, 2011: More laughs, less tears. More yes's, less no's. More highs, less lows. Plents of good times, for me and those who surround me. I want things to go my way, ok? No more fighting tooth and nail for anything and everything, I'm tired of it. I want happiness, healthiness, and just a tiny bit of peace and quiet for a change.

Let's take the time to see the world go by this year, ok 2011? And maybe have some fun while doing it? I'd really like that, 2011. Let's try to make it happen, ok?

Homeless Man with Golden Voice

This was on the news last night. The original video uploaded by Columbus Dispatch garnered over 13 million views in the first 48 hours, and has subsequently been removed in a shockingly stupid move. Anyway, check it out, another Susan Boyle in the making?

Old news, but I love this packaging..
